Courses and workshops are offered throughout the year. Availability, dates, locations, and registration details may change seasonally.
Apiology 101 courses
Supported online modules cover introductory beekeeping and integrated pest management. Participants learn at a distance while interacting with Tech-Transfer Program team members.
Hands-on spring workshops
Separate one-day workshops are offered at locations across Ontario. Topics include introductory beekeeping, pest management, and basic queen rearing. Registration includes a manual, lunch, coffee, and snacks.
Advanced winter workshops
One-day advanced workshops for established beekeepers include advanced queen breeding and advanced integrated pest management. A manual and lunch are included.
Veterinary antimicrobial training
This online course helps veterinarians understand honey bee pests and diseases in Ontario, when antimicrobial treatments may be required, treatment timing, and other considerations for maintaining honey bee health.
